Abstract

One of the laboratory tests carried out to determine kidney function is creatinine. Creatinine is a product of endogenous metabolism from skeletal muscle which is excreted in the urine through glomerular filtration. High and low levels of creatinine in the blood are used as an important indicator in determining kidney function disorders. Creatinine is excreted by the kidneys through a combination of filtration and secretion, its concentration is relatively constant in plasma from day to day, levels greater than normal values indicate impaired kidney function. To determine the significant difference in the results of creatinine levels with serum and plasma heparin samples in patients with chronic renal failure, research was carried out using a cross sectional approach. Analytical research methods and subjects studied were 20 samples. The respective samples were treated as heparinized serum and plasma and then checked for creatinine levels. Statistical data analysis used the Independent sample T test. The average value of creatinine levels in serum was 8.29 mg/dL and the average value of creatinine levels in heparin plasma samples was 8.21 md/dL. And the results of statistical tests using the independent sample T test obtained a sig value of 0.984 (p-value ≥ 0.05) This shows that H0 is accepted or there is no difference in the average creatinine levels in Heparin serum and plasma samples

Additional Information: Pemeriksaan yang dilakukan untuk mengetahui fungsi ginjal salah satunya adalah kreatinin. Kreatinin merupakan hasil metabolisme endogen dari otot skeletal yang diekskresikan bersama urin melalui filtrasi glomerulus. Tinggi rendahnya kadar kreatinin dalam darah digunakan sebagai indikator penting dalam menentukan gangguan fungsi ginjal. Kreatinin diekskresikan oleh ginjal melalui kombinasi filtrasi dan sekresi, konsentrasinya relatif konstan dalam plasma dari hari ke hari, kadar yang lebih besar dari nilai normal mengisyaratkan adanya gangguan fungsi ginjal. Untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil pemeriksaan kadar kreatinin secara signifikan dengan sampel serum dan plasma heparin pada pasien gagal ginjal kronik maka dilakukan penelitian dengan metode pendekatan cross sectional. Metode penelitian analitik dan subjek yang diteliti sebanyak 20 sampel. Sampel masing-masing diperlakukan sebagai serum dan plasma heparin kemudian diperiksa kadar kreatininnya. Analisis data statistik menggunakan uji Independent sample T test. Nilai rata – rata kadar kreatinin pada serum 8,29 mg/dL dan nilai rata – rata kadar kreatinin pada sampel plasma heparin 8.21 md/dL.dan hasil uji statistik dengan uji independent sample T test di dapat nilai sig sebesar 0,984 (p-value ≥ 0,05) Hal tersebut menunjukan bahwa H0 diterima atau tidak terdapat perbedaan rata-rata kadar kreatinin pada sampel serum dan plasma Heparin Kata kunci : kadar kreatinin, serum, plasma heparin
