Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB or TB) is an infectious disease caused by the bacteria Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Based on data from WHO, Asia is the region with the largest number of new TB cases, while Southeast Asia is the region with the second largest number of new cases and deaths due to TB. Liver function abnormalities are the most common side effect of anti-tuberculosis drug (OAT) regimens. Two types of enzymes that are often associated with liver cell damage are SGOT and SGPT. This study aims to determine the description of SGOT and SGPT levels in tuberculosis sufferers during the 6 month treatment period in the Tunggakjati Community Health Center area. This research was conducted in the Tunggakjati Community Health Center area in April 2024-finish. This type of research is descriptive, which aims to provide an interpretation of the results regarding SGOT and SGPT levels in tuberculosis sufferers during the 6 month treatment period. The results of the research showed that the results of examining SGOT and SGPT levels in 10 samples were that there were 6 (60%) samples that did not experience an increase or were normal and there were 4 (40%) samples that experienced an increase or were abnormal.

Key words: Serum Glutamic Pyruvic Transaminase (SGPT) Treatment, Tuberculosis.

Item Type: Thesis (Diploma)
